Hello Beautiful Humans!
Thank you to all who attended our
Blessing Songs for the Mamas event last Monday
with Amanda, Molly and Laura.
What a wonderfully heartfelt evening!
We now have the great opportunity to sing with
Te Martin and Lydia Violet
this coming Monday!
Both are accomplished musicians and song leaders
who I've had the honor of leading alongside at several live events.
We are in for a treat!
Te “Tee” Martin (they/them) is a community organizer,
song-keeper, and friend of the earth.
They live on Chochonyo Ohlone land in oakland, california
where they organize Thrive Street Choir and
gather outside nightly to sing with neighbors.
Te believes deeply in the power of song
to build resilience and to inspire change.
Lydia is an accomplished Iranian-American multi-instrumentalist
weaving together Southern blues, American roots,
and Iranian folk music traditions.
In her live band she combines fiddle, banjo, and luscious 3-part harmonies
to offer a soul-folk revival experience
participating in a new wave of protest music.
