Dear Singing Friends,

 

One of my favorite things about our bi-annual Yala Lati choir concerts is inviting the audience to lift their voices in harmony with us! I delight in this so much that I have devoted my life to uplifting people’s hearts through song.

Something happens when we sing together. We become more tuned-in and more connected. Not only to each other, but to ourselves, and to the spirit of life that moves through us all. We get to embody a sense of unity and joy, which enriches our lives and the lives of those around us. What a gift! 

If you live in the Santa Cruz area, I hope that you can come sing with us this Saturday, May 4th. Not only will you have the opportunity to sing with us, but we'll be debuting songs written by two of our choir members, a few by yours truly, and covers from various traditions and artists that you love. We'll be featuring the incredible Tammi Brown on vocals, Reverend Deborah Jonson with spoken word, Russel Kreitman on piano, Kevin DiNoto on percussion, Michael Matthews on guitar and banjo, and Terre Lee on violin.

Not to be missed! This will more than likely be our final concert at Inner Light Center, as they have sold the building and plan to move out of the space by the end of the year. Let's fill that beautiful sanctuary with love and light and harmony!
