Patricia Norton loves the sound
of the human voice.
She founded Pocket Songs online
during the pandemic, and then,
because there are just so many
fabulous songs, started the podcast,
A Breath of Song, which offers a song
that supports navigating life in every episode.
Every fifth episode, there’s a songwriter
conversation so you can get to know
the people who are creating these songs.
She sings on the unceded land of the
Abenaki, where the Winooski River
meets what is now called Lake Champlain.
Her website, juneberrymusic.com,
covers her exploration of sharing songs
and vocal discovery with others
both on-line and on-ground.
Singer / Composer Moira Smiley has
toured the world and recorded with
Indie-pop favorites, Tuneyards,
performing with them on all the
late-night TV shows (Kimmel, Colbert,
Conan O’Brien, UK’s Jools Holland, etc.)
and recently to re-open David Geffe Hall
at Lincoln Center in NYC with
Chris Thile, Hilary Hahn and Brad Mehldau.
She began her singing career in Baroque
and Medieval music.
As a folksinger, she’s fronted the legendary
Irish-American supergroup, Solas
as well as the Lomax and
Folklife Projects
produced by Jayme Stone,
and continues to lead her own vocal
collaborations as VOCO and
The
Voice Is A Traveler.
I hope to sing with you soon!
Love,
Heather
