for Sisters in Harmony Global
with Becky Reardon & Angela Gabriel
Monday, Feb. 28th @ 4:00 pm PST
Becky Reardon's voice is familiar to the millions of people
who heard her sing on the Charlie Brown TV specials
(Charles Schultz called her his favorite singer!).
She performed in folk venues in the San Francisco Bay Area
for many years before moving to New Mexico
and making the shift to writing, performing,
and teaching her own compositions.
Now her songs and rounds are widely sung
by community choruses, song circles, university choirs,
and people out for a walk in the beautiful world.
Becky is currently writing a musical about a women’s singing circle.
Angela Gabriel has been thriving in Santa Fe
since 2002 as a professional percussionist, pianist,
community music facilitator, creativity catalyst,
and vocal activist dedicated to providing safe opportunities
for people to replace judgment with curiosity
and express themselves creatively.
Using bodies, voices, instruments, and heart,
she dynamically engages everyone from youth,
to people living with Parkinson’s,
to folks living in the state of homelessness,
the hospice community, and more in the joy of creative expression,
improvisation, and song
in a way that gives everyone a sense of success and inclusion.
